Haley Degon
Haley Degon joined FOCUS as a Policy Analyst in June 2023, currently specializing in tracking issues relating to communications and entertainment; e-vehicles and tires; and social issues and voting rights. She also leads research and publication of our weekly session Overview and supports FOCUS’ Quality Control efforts.
The North Attleboro, Massachusetts native graduated from Boston University, summa cum laude, in 2022, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology. Prior to joining FOCUS, she worked as a Political Science Data and Policy Analyst Intern with Biasly, researching political bias behavior and language in media. During college, she gained valuable insight into local regulatory structures and governmental data management systems while working as a Policy Researcher for the City of Providence’s Parking and Curbside Management Department.
Haley loves learning about new issues and the nuances of her clients’ varied industries and policy priorities. When she’s not rewatching Friends or The Office, she loves to watch historical fiction tv shows and movies, and follows national political news closely. In her spare time, she also loves to write fiction and craft scripts for the annual murder mystery party she hosts for friends.
